Late Shri Dhondiba Abaji Satav
One takes birth, lives for themselves, and dies. Few people take birth with a predetermined purpose; they live for mankind. Such people are long remembered by the society. It is very rightly quoted by Leo Tolstoy: "I lived for myself and spoiled my life; only now that I live for others do I realise the true meaning of life." Late Dhondiba Abaji Satav, popularly known as "Karbhari Anna," was one of these rarely born magnificent personalities with a generous vision for the city of Baramati. He contributed generously to the shaping of APMC Baramati, TC College, Technical High School, Harijan Co-Operative Housing Society, and many more. He was very cautious to see that every penny of Baramati Municipality is utilised for a good cause and the benefit of the citizens. His son and my father, the late Pandurang Dhondiba Satav, also proved to be his strict obedient. Taking the inspirations and ideologies of these two greats, myself, Prasant, the grandson of Karabhari Anna, am proudly motivated to pour some drops in the ocean leading to the trust under the name 'Karbhari Anna Charitable Foundation".
